Terrence Peters

Sadly passed away on 10th August 2023, aged 68 years.

Dearly loved Husband, Dad, Grandad & Friend. Terrence will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by all who knew him

The funeral service will be held at Mortlake Crematorium on Friday 1st September at 12:40pm.

During his battles with cancer, Terrence was supported by two charities; The Mulberry Centre & Meadow House. By way of thanks we are raising money for these charities, if you would like to contribute, it would be greatly appreciated.

The Mulberry Centre
The Mulberry Centre is an independent charity based on the grounds of West Middlesex Hospital. They provide support to anyone affected by cancer. For Terrence, they provided counselling, practical/emotional support and friendship as he fought prostate cancer in 2018. He joined their creative writing classes and attended Zoom chat groups with other fighters/survivors where, he was often called upon to talk the host through fixing tech issues.

Meadow House Hospice
Meadow House provide hospice and community care services within London Boroughs of Ealing and Hounslow. For Terrence, they provided palliative care following his diagnosis with Cholangiocarcinoma, a rare and, unfortunately, usually terminal cancer as detection is late. From the first day of referral to Terrence's last day, they provided practical and emotional support to him and us as a family (eg from arranging speedy provision of grab rails, mobility aids, hospital-style bed for home and help with completing paperwork, to holding his hand, listening to how he felt, compassionately managing expectations and always being at the end of the telephone between visits when he/we had questions. We will be forever grateful for their involvement in our lives at the time of our greatest need.

Terrence was a lovely guy, mainstay of the Computer Audit team at GT. Helpful, knowledgeable, kind and considerate, a true gent, great colleague and the best of company. He was a key contributor to the success of our INOCLIC system! Much missed, our thoughts are with Jean and family. My condolences to the family.
It was always lovely spending time with Terrence at the various work social events. He was such a knowledgeable man and you always felt you'd leave the conversation having learned something. We also both shared a love staying at the Marriott Marbella hotel. We'd often speak about having just got back or planning to visit. Good times with a great man!

Terrence - you were one of the first people I worked for. You were always gentle, kind and forgiving with someone who didn't always know what they were doing! You never got stressed when things didn't go perfectly and taught us how to deal with the ups an downs of the consulting world. RIP Terrence.

Yvonne Fernandez
