When I told my husband that I had signed up for a sky dive he said; ‘Why would you want to jump out of a perfectly serviceable aircraft?’ Of course, my answer was; ‘for Keech!’

I have followed and supported the amazing work of Keech Hospice Care for many years. In taking part in this skydive, I am hoping to raise funds specifically for their Children’s Services which provides vital support to children with life limiting conditions, who live in my home area.

I have visited the children’s unit on a number of occasions and it always leaves me in complete awe. The need for these facilities is, of course, a very sad one and a visit always brings this into sharp focus. However, this is not an unhappy place, in fact, it is quite the opposite. The children who are supported by Keech benefit from exceptional care and stimulating recreational activities. The parents of these children are fully included in their care and families are able to spend the limited time they have with them, in this safe and understanding environment.

Please help me, if you can, by making a small donation.

Many thanks,

Claire

Keech Hospice Care

Our children’s service supports families from across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Milton Keynes who have a child or young person diagnosed with a life-limiting condition. Our care is not just provided at the hospice itself but in the hospital, school, care or family home – wherever support is needed the most.

Our children’s service consists of an in-patient unit, community nursing team, day support and supportive care team, all of whom will support your child and family, both at times of crisis and when you need our specialist care from day to day. You can relax, safe in the knowledge that your child is receiving high-quality support from our team of nurses, doctors, therapists and social workers.

Keech Hospice Care is a registered charity in England & Wales 1035089.
